I'm Julia J., the breeder behind Wood's Edge Portuguese Water Dogs located in Denver, PA. We’re devoted to ensuring there are healthy puppies for others to enjoy and we do so by responsibly growing this incredible breed. We are dog lovers through and through! Our pups are such an important part of our lives, and we can’t imagine being without them. It’s an amazing experience as breeders to provide others with puppies that we know will bring them the same joy!

Why did you start breeding?
I learned about the Portuguese water dog breed through my sister and I love the breed! I wanted to share the breed with other families.What makes your program special?
My dogs are tested for good health and raised in the country. Socialization begins at an early age with lots of holding and physical contact.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brown and white, black and white, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
