Good Dog is on a mission to build a better world for our dogs by supporting dog breeders, educating the public and promoting canine health. We are completely free for breeders who pass our screening and comply with our standards (including breed-specific health testing requirements and levels), and in fact breeders cannot pay to join.

  • Breeder Education: We focus on scientific research and evidence-based recommendations to work towards our goal of improving canine health and are committed to providing ongoing breeder education. We launched Good Dog University powered by Avidog, featuring our first breeder and buyer education course, Savvy Socialization! We also feature free breeder educational content through our Good Breeder Center and our podcast, The Good Dog Pod, hosted by Laura Reeves of Pure Dog Talk.
  • Buyer Education: Through our Learning Center we help educate the public on critical topics, including why it's important to support dog breeders and how to identify responsible sources.
  • Breeder Recognition & Software: Good Breeders receive a certified Good Breeder Badge and a full page profile on Good Dog. Good Dog’s secure platform also allows you to build a customized puppy buyer application, manage your waitlist, keep records on your dogs, litters, and more.
  • Legal Support: Good Breeders get exclusive access to our Legal Resource Center with sample dog contracts prepared by experienced lawyers, webinars and answers to frequently asked questions. We also offer free mediation services and legislative advocacy for breeders.
  • 24/7 Tech Support: We protect all our breeders’ information and provide 24/7 support from tech experts. We also help Good Breeders take quick action if your pictures or information is stolen, and have helped our breeders get offending websites promptly removed.
  • Benefits & Discounts: Good Breeders receive discounts on health testing including monthly Canine Health Initiatives, $100 for OFA tests each year, and other discounts through our partnerships with Embark, Paw Print Genetics, Orivet, and others.
  • Community: Our community is built for dog breeders and is dedicated to supporting and uniting dog breeders so we can work together to give our dogs the world they deserve!
