We’re excited to introduce Meetup Areas, a new way to reach qualified buyers beyond your immediate zip code. This tool helps you to select nearby cities and towns where you're willing to meet buyers for pickup, allowing your puppies to appear in local searches for those areas on Good Dog.
What Are Meetup Areas?
Meetup Areas are locations where you're willing to deliver puppies for free or at a low cost, like charging for the price of gas. They are designated locations where you can arrange to meet potential buyers, making it easier to place puppies in loving homes across a wider geographic area. Unlike standard transport options, Meetup Areas allow your listings to appear in search results as if you are local to buyers, increasing your number of potential applicants.

Your puppies will appear in local search results for all your selected Meetup Areas, increasing your visibility to more Good Dog buyers. For example, if you're a few hours outside of Dallas, you can add it as a Meetup Area to connect with more buyers. This helps you find even more perfect matches for your puppies while maintaining your high standards for placement.
Complete Control & Security
Using Meetup Areas is completely optional, and you’re always in full control of how you’d like to use this feature:
- Choose your preferred meeting locations
- Enable or disable the feature at any time
- Set your own terms for delivery
- You have full control over your deposit and payment policies, as well as which buyers you choose to work with
Getting Started
Setting up Meetup Areas for your program is easy! Just follow these simple steps:
- From your desktop, navigate to the Location section of your breeder profile, by selecting “Edit Profile” from the dropdown in the upper righthand corner
- If you’re setting up Meetup Areas from your mobile app, tap the person icon in the top right and then “Edit Profile”. Click “About” and then “Location”
- Select the areas where you're willing to meet buyers
Your listings will automatically appear in search results for all selected areas, updating in real-time as you add or remove locations.
