What is Good Dog’s policy on snoozing applications from puppy buyers?

Read about what you can do as a breeder to manage applications from puppy buyers on Good Dog.

Good Dog is on a mission to educate the public, support dog breeders, and promote canine health so we can give our dogs the world they deserve.

Am I required to accept applications from potential puppy buyers in order to remain a Good Breeder?

The only way to receive applications on Good Dog, is to list a born or expected litter. If you have no available litters or if you have a planned litter, you will still be a Good Breeder and you can still receive questions from potential puppy buyers. However, you won’t receive applications until you update your litter to born or expected.

Can I stop potential puppy buyers from submitting applications?

We have a feature on our site called “sleep mode,” indicating that applications are currently closed and potential puppy buyers cannot submit applications to that program. To turn on “sleep mode”:

  • Log in to your Good Dog dashboard
  • Click on the circle in the top right corner
  • Select Settings
  • Under Listing Status select Change status
  • Click on Snooze applications
  • Select an estimated date to snooze your applications
  • Click Save

You can always feel free to reach out to your Good Breeder Specialist at breederteam@gooddog.com who can help you with the steps outlined above!
