Starting September 15, 2025, Good Dog is now required to collect and file sales tax on transactions from Good Dog buyers made through the Good Dog platform as part of our compliance obligations.
This means that for those sales, breeders do not need to collect or send sales tax to the state — Good Dog takes care of it. All sales tax records are filed and reported under Good Dog's name. Your personal sales tax information is not included.
For buyers who come through your referral link, breeders remain responsible for handling any required sales tax.

Good Dog collects and pays sales tax in every U.S. state that has a sales tax, along with the District of Columbia and local jurisdictions in Alaska. We do not collect sales tax in states that do not impose a general sales tax, and we do not currently collect in U.S. territories (including Puerto Rico).
