Located in the heart of Nacogdoches, Texas, our family-owned business, TK Standard, Mini, & Toy Aussies, is dedicated to raising healthy, high-quality Australian Shepherds with love and integrity. My husband and I have been married for 30 years, and alongside our two daughters, we specialize in AKC Standard Australian Shepherds, AKC Mini American Shepherds, and ASDR Standard, Mini, and Toy Aussies. We’re committed to producing puppies that thrive in various roles—whether they’re in the show ring, working, or bringing joy as cherished family pets.
Our journey began in 2014 with Mini Aussies, but our passion quickly expanded to include Standard and Toy varieties to meet the unique needs of our clients. Raising Aussies isn’t just a business for us; it’s a way of life, and each puppy is raised as part of our family, with all of us contributing. I am a full-time educator, my husband and I have been married for 30 years, and our two daughters play an active role in the business, helping nurture the puppies from day one.
Our dogs aren’t just animals to us; they’re family members, each with their own unique personality. It’s our mission to raise each puppy with the love, attention, and socialization they need to become well-rounded, happy dogs. One of our proudest moments as breeders is hearing stories from families who have taken home one of our puppies. Knowing they’re thriving and loved in their new homes makes every bit of effort worthwhile.

In 2020, we joined Good Dog, and it’s been a fantastic addition to our program. Good Dog connects us with a community of breeders who are equally passionate about responsible breeding. It also offers continuing education opportunities, allowing me to learn on demand and grow as a breeder. Good Dog has been invaluable for connecting us with families across the United States, and I guide all of my clients to Good Dog for secure, protected transactions. The platform also makes it easy for prospective buyers to view upcoming litters and planned breedings, helping them find the puppy that’s right for them.
Over the years, our program has come a long way. Since starting in 2014, we’ve continuously improved our genetics, implemented a puppy curriculum, and started training our puppies before they go home. Communication with our clients is essential to us, and we maintain weekly updates with our puppy families, building bonds that often make us feel like family by the time they take home their puppy at eight weeks. We love staying in touch and celebrating each puppy’s milestones as they grow.
Throughout this journey, we’ve been fortunate to build friendships with fellow breeders who share our values and dedication to the breed. We cherish the guidance and friendship of Outland Aussies, Blue Envy Mini Aussies, Double M Toy & Mini Aussies, and Keldrew Ranch. These relationships are an incredible resource, providing advice and mentorship that have helped us grow.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue refining our bloodlines and practices to produce exceptional puppies. Breeding with integrity, building meaningful connections with our buyers, and constantly improving our program is at the heart of what we do. This isn’t just a business to us—it’s a lifelong passion, and we feel honored to share the joy of Australian Shepherds with our extended TK Aussies family.
