Hi, my name is Shannon, and I'm the breeder behind Diamonds In The Ruff Boston Terriers & Dobermans. Here’s a little bit about me...
I’m 33 years old and I'm a Colorado native. I have type 1 diabetes, and I'm a single woman with four kids, ages 4, 5, 9, and 10. Even from an early age, I have always been captivated by the world of dogs. My parents raised working dogs and their loyalty, unwavering companionship, and unique personalities have always held a special place in my heart. I believe that the bond between humans and dogs is a remarkable and enriching experience that brings joy to our lives. I had my first litter when I was only 15-years-old.

Raising puppies from birth and finding them loving homes is an incredibly fulfilling experience. I have worked hard on my program for years, and through the ups and downs, I continue to strive for the best health, temperament, confirmation, and more. At times, it's very hard, exhausting, heartbreaking, expensive, and demanding. My kids and I put our heart and soul into breeding. The joy of seeing our puppies grow and thrive, and knowing that they will become cherished members of other families, is a driving force behind my work.

I found Good Dog and I LOVE the platform! Good Dog provides me with information and resources related to responsible dog ownership and breeding. I appreciate websites like Good Dog for the educational resources they offer. Good Dog provides valuable information about dog breeds, training, health care, nutrition, and responsible breeding practices, and their community of reputable breeders, makes it easier for buyers to find breeders who follow responsible breeding practices.

Good Dog has an amazing Good Breeder community and offers helpful support. They create a sense of community among dog owners and breed enthusiasts, allowing them to share experiences, ask questions, and seek support from like-minded individuals. I appreciate that Good Dog advocates for responsible breeding practices, and that they contribute to the overall well-being of dogs and the promotion of ethical standards in the breeding community.
