Remove a Message

If you no longer need the chat between you and a buyer, you can remove it from your active Inbox by archiving it.

Archived chats are still available to view, but you will NOT receive notifications of any new messages for buyer chats that have been archived.

To archive a chat on desktop or mobile web:
  1. From your Good Dog Dashboard, click on Inbox​​​​​​​​​​​
  2. Click on the conversation that you would like to remove​​​​​​​​​​​​
  3. Click on the buyer's name at the top of the chat​​​​​
  4. From the buyer's profile, click "Archive chat"

You can view archived chats in your Inbox by clicking "All messages" below the search bar and selecting "Archived".

To archive a chat on the Good Dog: For Breeders app:
  1. Tap "Inbox" at the bottom of the screen
  2. Swipe left on the chat you want to archive and tap "Archive"
  3. Or, tap the chat, tap the buyer's name at the top, and tap "Archive chat"

You can view archived chats by selecting the "Archive" filter below the search bar in your inbox.

To permanently delete an archived chat:
  1. From your archived chats, open the chat you'd like to permanently delete
  2. ​​Click or tap on the buyer's name at the top
  3. From the buyer's profile, click "Delete chat"

Deleted chats are permanently removed from your Inbox. However, buyers will still have the ability to message you after your conversation with them has been permanently deleted.

If you'd like to block a user from contacting you, or report a chat because you feel it is a violation of our Terms of Service, you can choose "Block & delete user" or "Report conversation" instead.
