How to use the Good Dog mobile app

With the Good Dog mobile app, you can work with your breeder on the go. Use the app to search for puppies, chat with breeders, send secure payments, get updates about your search, and more.


We're always improving our app and adding new features, so make sure to keep the app up-to-date by downloading the latest version!

Request info about a puppy
To request info about a puppy, select "Request info." Once the puppy's breeder replies, you'll be able to start chatting with them. You can view every request you've sent to a breeder by going to the Inbox tab. Some breeders may ask you to fill out an application to move forward in their process.


Chat with breeders
Use our secure messaging platform to chat with breeders. As you chat, you'll be able to receive video and photo updates, ask questions, arrange pickup or drop-off, and more. And with push notifications enabled, you’ll receive notifications every time your breeder sends you a message about your puppy.

You can’t use the Good Dog mobile app to chat with breeders who haven’t approved your application. However, you can use your web browser to view a Good Dog breeder’s profile and ask a question (even if you haven’t requested info about a pup yet).

Send secure payments 
To send a secure payment to a breeder using our mobile app, go to your message thread and select the "+" icon.

Favorite puppies
As you search for puppies, you can favorite the ones you'd like to return to — just select the heart icon in the top right corner of their search results card. You can view your favorites by selecting the "Favorites" tab on the navigation bar.

Get support
From the You tab, you can explore popular articles to help you navigate life with your new puppy. If you need help with your puppy search at any stage, call or text our Care Team by selecting the phone number at the bottom of the You tab. You can also visit our Help Center anytime.
