Q: I was rewatching the videos with you, Gayle, and Laura and my question is about liver water formula. How long can you store liver formula? Can you make and freeze or does it lose its benefits?

A: I have made the liver water formula and frozen in small ice cube trays, put in double Ziploc bags, and kept it for 6-12months. I would not keep it any longer than that. In case others are interested, liver water formula is used for a high nutrition boost for fading puppies and as a part of homemade puppy formula. You make it by taking a slice of liver, covering with about an inch of water, and then gently bringing it to a soft boil. Once it begins to boil, turn off the burner, cover and let sit for 15-20min. Remove the liver, strain, and pour into an ice cube tray. I slice the cooked liver and dry to use as high-value treats for my guys.
