Q: I would like to know more about ear cropping, taping, posting, gluing: when and how.
A: None of my breeds require ear cropping or posting, so my advice is going to be to refer you to the breeder of your dog. I understand how this contributes to the look of specific breeds, as well as to their function. Therefore, my best recommendation is to depend upon your breeder and the veterinarian that they use because they will be the most familiar with the correct way to do it, the age and timing, along with proper proportions and dimensions. You also should be aware that there are currently new laws being proposed, and some that have been put in place, in various states that no longer allow ear cropping to be done by anyone other than a veterinarian.
