Introduction

A program that guides puppy owners through developing their pup until adulthood, emphasizing building the puppy’s trust in you and the world around them. The class enables you to ensure your pup has the right experiences at the right time in its life. Know when fear imprint periods happen and what you can do to get through them safely. Find out what to expect as your pup transitions through each stage of puppyhood, including the sensitive, juvenile and adolescent periods. Help prevent fearfulness, dog reactivity, and aggression in your dog.

Socialization can’t wait— while it’s true that dogs of all ages can be socialized, the early period of their life is crucial. Puppies are extremely sensitive during their first 20 weeks, and the experiences they have during this time can significantly shape the way they move through the world for the rest of their lives. Anything puppies experience during this time– from rumbling lawnmowers to skateboards in the driveway– will generally become something they’re comfortable with down the line. There’s a short window for dogs to be well-socialized and adjusted as they transition into adulthood– so as an owner of a new puppy, take advantage of this opportunity to help your puppy feel more comfortable in his own skin and the world around him.
