Meet the breeder

I'm Colleen D., the breeder behind 3 Rivers APBT's located in Grants Pass, OR. 3 Rivers specializes in APBT’s for home/pet, work or show, a sharp focus on health, temperament, and conformation standards which the foundation of our practice. The emphasis is always on quality over quantity. The goal we set and which we believe is still the most important, is to produce healthy puppies that make a well-rounded character in an adult dog. Keep in mind that the APBT is animal aggressive so they are best in one pet home.

Q. & A. with Colleen

  • Why did you start breeding?

Once I found the breed of my choice, I learned much about the breed. Found a couple a good mentor. Titled my dog. Only then did I think about breeding.
  • What makes your program special?

The time I spend studying the dogs. Taking my time to make sure I make the proper decision on my match. Making sure both animals are health tested. Temperament is paramount over everything in my program. You will not find dogs bred for extreme or color.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
