A Golden Summer

Michelle B.

Breeder of Golden Retrievers and Goldendoodles

Meet the breeder

I'm Michelle B., the breeder behind A Golden Summer located in Ponce De Leon, FL. We’re devoted to producing healthy and happy golden retrievers and goldendoodles for others to love and have as part of their family. Our dogs are part of our family and it is extremely important their puppies go to absolutely wonderful homes. These are the best dogs with an extremely loving and loyal disposition. We only want the best for them!! In our program, we only breed our dogs between ages two and five, so we typically only have one litter per year.

Q. & A. with Michelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

My uncle bred golden retrievers for duck hunting, so I grew up around this incredible dog breed. I've never found a more loving, affectionate and loyal dog than a golden retriever.
  • What makes your program special?

My three girls are the best helpers. We give special attention and care to our puppies the entire time we have them. We introduce them to new smells/sounds/experiences daily to prepare them for their forever home.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Goldendoodle puppies are medium size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Golden Retriever puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Goldendoodle puppies include cream and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
