



I'm Chris & Tom L., the breeder behind Abiqua Pumik located in Salem, OR. The home of quality Pumik for 26 years. AKC Breeder of Merit Gold. Pumik since 1999. We have produced over 39 champions since 2016 when the breed was recognized by AKC. Our puppies include multiple Agility Grand Champions, agility titled dogs, and titles in just about every dog sport. We breed for health, sound temperaments, and beautiful dogs that meet the standard for the Pumi. Our breeding program includes multiple dogs from Hungary, Finland, and Sweden. Chris has been an AKC judge for over 30 years and she advises new owners and judges about the breed.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Primary Lens Luxation (PLL)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
