It's been a muddy winter but we are finally looking at spring. ❤️ Both girls are still with me and seeking their new homes. Rose (red sesame) has been particularly fun to train and outgoing with dogs plus affectionate with people. Snow (black sesame) may need a home without other pets at this time who can focus on her needs alone, but she is good with all sizes of people. Cats ok.

Snow White & Briar Rose have their second round of vaccines on board and have completed my training program. The girls are ready for their forever homes.

Dori is back in season and we will attempt to breed her on this side of the split heat. Due to travel required and normal challenges of a split heat there is still a chance we may not get a litter but we will do our best ans cross our fingers for this season. ❤️

TBD and Dottie's litter

We have an import Shikoku Ken puppy coming to the US in May 2025. We will be searching for a show home co-owner or guardian for him within 3 hours of the Portland metro area, Oregon.

Myself and the dogs are currently staying in the northeast for a while. My waitlist is still open for planned and prospective litters.

About Meringue
Meringue is training to be a human remains search dog and showing some promise. She has a lot of drive and is always the life of the party. You could not ask for a better partner in crime than Meringue. She is always down to try whatever, whenever, and never shies from any activity. However, Meringue is a high energy dog and may not be everyone's cup of tea even when looking for a Kishu Ken. In many ways I do believe that Meringue embodies some of the best qualities of the breed and I am looking forward to seeing her grow and possibly, what she may produce.

About Ginkgo
Ginkgo is a white coated Kishu Ken from an inbreeding on 2 of the NIPPO foundation dogs to the USA, Nami (my founder) and Taro (a Hosoda line hunting dog). This pedigree is packed with proven hunting dogs - primarily on hog, but also rabbit and vermin dispatch dogs. Ginkgo shows all the energy, tractability, and drive of her hunting line ancestry and is outgoing with people. She is a brave and steady dog who has handled music festivals, packed breweries, and intense street events as well as a no-nonsense dog to hike and camp with in the woods. She is food and toy motivated, but can have a sharp prey/hunt drive. We are hoping for active pet, performance, and working (hunting or SAR/HRD) homes for Ginkgo's offspring. This will be her first litter.

About Cuchulainn
Cuchulainn is an active, driven dog from rare hunting and old show lines. He represents diversity that is quickly being extinguished in the Kishu Ken breed. He is the first ROMX stud dog in the Kishu Ken breed and over half of his offspring are titled and highly awarded in both specialty shows and general conformation shows as well as performance venues. Cuchulainn himself was awarded an "excellent" under a Nihon Ken Hozonkai judge at his first and only NIPPO show in 2019, where he was also awarded best of opposite sex/best male (Jun Saikosho) over show line competition. Cuchulainn's offspring trend toward higher energy and higher drive and all have healthy food/toy drive.
