• Why did you start breeding?

  I didn't get into breeding because I wanted to simply produce beautiful puppies or my next show dog. I got into breeding because I fell in love with an extraordinary breed worth preserving. Sealyhams are wonderfully uncommon, and with that rarity comes a responsibility to protect everything that makes them so special. Every Alibi breeding begins with a simple question: How can we contribute something meaningful to the future of the breed? That means thoughtfully planning each litter with careful attention to health, temperament, structure, breed type, and genetic diversity. We invest countless hours researching pedigrees and evaluating potential sires—whether they're across the state or across the world—to find the best possible match for each girl. But thoughtful breeding is only the beginning. From the day our puppies are born, they're raised in the heart of our home, immersed in everyday family life and intentionally guided through proven puppy development practices. We believe early experiences shape confident, resilient dogs, so every Alibi puppy receives individualized attention, enrichment, socialization, and plenty of love. Whether an Alibi puppy becomes a cherished family companion, a performance partner, or a successful show dog, our purpose never changes: to give every puppy the healthiest start, the strongest foundation, and every opportunity to become someone's partner in crime.

• What makes your program special?

  Alibi is a preservation breeder. At Alibi, preservation isn't simply a label—it's the foundation of every decision we make. As preservation breeders, our responsibility extends far beyond producing beautiful puppies. We are entrusted with protecting the future of one of the world's rarest terrier breeds. That means preserving not only the Sealyham's unmistakable breed type and character, but also its health, genetic diversity, sound temperament, and ability to thrive as a modern companion. Preservation requires both respect for the breed's history and a commitment to today's science. We thoughtfully evaluate pedigrees, health data, and genetic diversity when planning every litter. Sometimes that means working with others to use frozen semen from an exceptional dog of decades past to preserve valuable bloodlines. Other times it means seeking the very best match from across the country—or across the world—to strengthen the breed for generations to come. That philosophy is reflected in everything we do: Complete and publicly disclose recommended health testing for our dams and, whenever possible, the sires we use. Maintain CHIC certification for our breeding dogs. Work closely with experienced reproductive specialists before, during, and after every breeding. Stay current with advances in canine reproductive medicine, genetics, puppy development, and evidence-based husbandry. Raise every puppy in our home using intentional enrichment, socialization, and proven early development practices. Place each puppy thoughtfully, considering temperament, family lifestyle, and professional evaluations. Provide every puppy with veterinary care, AKC registration, permanent identification through AKC Reunite, and complete medical records. Stand behind every Alibi Sealyham for life. If circumstances ever change, an Alibi dog will always have a home with us. Preservation doesn't end when a puppy goes home. • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

  Our puppies include white and lemon, white and tan, white and badger, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

• Where do your breeding dogs live?

  They live in my home and guardian homes.
