I'm Clu C., the breeder behind Alta Samoyeds located in California. We have been an owner, exhibitor, and occasional breeder of healthy, Championship and performance-titled Samoyeds since 1973. Our dogs are raised and live in our home. Litters are carefully planned and puppies are raised with an eye towards healthy minds and bodies and long, quality lives. Our pups are raised for success in conformation, performance, in multiple real-life tasks, and most importantly, in the home as loving family companions. We're here for the life of every puppy, just a call away!
Q. & A. with Clu
Why did you start breeding?
I had a great mentor who was there every step of the way, teaching me her high standards. It was a slow and careful process and I wasn't interested in breeding at first, but I was so fortunate to have her helping me so I learned things properly.
What makes your program special?
My family and I are 100% focused on good stewardship of this breed and careful selection/matching of puppy to home. We're always available for our puppies and their owners. We take the responsibility to this breed and to our puppy families very seriously; this is a calling for us, not a business. No matter what, we're here for our pups and their owners.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and biscuit, white, cream, and biscuit. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
