Was gonna be a good idea or a bad one to increase their area, but so far they didn’t make as much of a mess.

Puppies sleep a lot more than you think. 18hrs a day from 8-20weeks And from 6months+ it’s around 14 hours a day.. overtired puppies can become whiney, destructive, hyperactive and can start biting. Your puppy doesn’t always need more training and playtime, make sure they have enough sleep as well. This is helpful and goes right along with crate training!

Been a busy week! Lots of cleaning at this point. Started crate training. Have a couple whiners, but they settle down. Never let a puppy out of their crate when they aren’t calm and quiet. Leave them be. When they are quiet, they can come out.

As we draw closer to everyone bringing their puppies home. There is a couple of things I want to touch base on. Get your puppies vet visits scheduled. They will see the Vet prior to leaving, it is scheduled for March 5th! They will get their first set of puppy vaccines, wormed, health check, and microchip placement. March 7 pickups at my place will be in AM, and we will head to Scranton for late afternoon meetup for pickups there. If you’ve set up alternative pick up places/times you should already know as we’ve discussed. There is a statement in your contracts, that the puppy must be seen within 72hours if there are concerns regarding the health of your puppy. If you need or want to schedule that ahead of time do so, their next set of shots won’t be due until March 26. Pet Insurance! You have options. Through Good Dog you get a 10% Discount with Figo! Through AKC you get free pet Insurance for 30 days, you’ll receive and email about this after your puppy is registered (before they leave me), and you can continue that coverage. I also, will have Trupanion Flyers in your handout. Once I recieve these, I will also send to you. Trupanion needs to be activated within 24hours of bringing your puppy home. If you choose to use it. Also, I will be sending your AVIDog/Good Dog Puppy Books via message attachment as a PDF. The will not be in your binders. You can print them out and add them at your convenience. Your puppies will come with their puppy collars, a blanket, 1 gallon ziplock bag of their current dog food (Which we are feeding Diamond Naturals All Life Stages Chicken & Rice. I recommend sticking to this, it is available at Tractor Supply.), toy and puppy binder in a neat carry bag. We stick to dog foods 26%-30% Protein and 16% Fat or higher for our dogs. I have harder keepers that eat a 32/32 formula at certain times of year, depending on if they are working. The pictures above are pictures of your puppies stacked. We do this weekly to evaluate how the puppy is growing and whether they are built correctly. Just because a dog isn’t perfect doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with it. A working dog requires a certain build, and may not perform as well without it. They may not be able to run for as long or hunt as hard. If you’re not doing these things, it’s not as big of a deal, but it does help the inevitable breakdown of old age. It holds it off just a bit longer, when they are built correctly. So we make sure all our dogs are! And the best way to do that is to ensure your breeding stock is the best they can be.

Pretty consistent litter so far. I see things I like and dislike. Definitely have my favorites. 4 week old stacks.
