I'm Julia T., the breeder behind Amber Trace Rhodesian Ridgebacks located in Lutz, FL. We are dedicated to continuing our phenomenal lines in an effort to provide families with loving, healthy, and happy puppies. Our puppies leave for their new homes with a solid foundation of training and socialization, and we strive for quality and excellence with everything that we do.

What makes your program special?
We have been involved with Rhodesian Ridgebacks for 15 years. We have breed multiple AKC Champions and Grand Champions, Field Champions, a Royal Canin Best of Breed Puppy, a National Specialty Best Puppy, a Number One producing brood bitch, and AKC Group placing dogs. But we are most proud of our wonderful companion pets and the joy and love they bring their families. They are well socialized, with great temperaments from healthy and accomplished parents.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include rd whtn blk nose, red wheaten, and light wheaten. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Julia has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price
Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $2,700 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy (JME), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
