I'm Jennifer S., the breeder behind Ambition Amstaffs located in Marietta, GA. Every litter we produce is with the intention of creating our next great show dog. We take meticulous care in matching pedigrees and temperaments to produce spectacular puppies. We also give the mother and puppies a RAW diet to give the absolute best start in life.
Q. & A. with Jennifer
Why did you start breeding?
When I was a young teenager my father started boarding our training dogs at a big show dog facility, owned by a professional handler. I began showing in juniors at 13 years old. I had always had an affinity towards the pitbulls that came in for training so when an opportunity to get involved with amstaffs for showing I chose them as my breed. I had my first litter at 15 years old.
What makes your program special?
I have a strong belief that amstaffs should be excellent family companions. Being a dog trainer means I see the results of poorly bred temperaments and poorly bred health every single day.
I am quick to remove any dog in my program that exhibits any type of temperament issues, such as real dog aggression or serious shyness. Amstaffs have one job in this world now; to be a great family pet.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Parent health testing
Breeder-Reported Testing
Great level
Ambition Amstaffs reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for American Staffordshire Terriers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 4A (NCL4A), American Staffordshire Terrier Type
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
