About River
River is an extremely sweet girl! She is my velcro dog and loves to be wherever I am. She is happy to just be in the same room & loves to snuggle up next to me. She is not hyper and does not have a high drive - she has a great off switch, and she does have that goofy OES temperament that is such a hallmark of this breed. River loves the water and swimming, and is a big fan of retrieving the tennis ball. She is such a lover and gets along well with every person and every animal she has ever met. We consider her the Mama dog around here as she tends to adopt every other pet or person in the home. River has beautiful conformation and is nice and square, has beautiful correct coat type, a nice blocky head and short hocks, and is very cute and feminine. Her beauty & her adorably sweet personality makes her an amazing OES.

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, Kartagner Syndrome (PCD), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), DNA Disease Panel, Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
