Q. & A. with Kenneth

  • Why did you start breeding?

My journey began in the trenches: years of boots-on-the-ground rescue work and daily life with GSDs. That immersion forged my love for the breed and still fuels my passion today. I channeled that experience into a decade of study to master structural integrity and stable temperaments. I founded American Viking GSD Ranch to bridge the gap—giving you a puppy of unmatched, elite pet quality.
  • What makes your program special?

14 years of living with GSDs, 10 years in the trenches of rescue. I learned that a true GSD is built on grit, loyalty, and sound health. At American Viking GSD Ranch, I leverage 14 years of hands-on experience to breed superior, stable, and driven companions. Whether rescuing the misunderstood or breeding for excellence. I will be here to support you and your puppy forever.

Ken and his dogs are amazing! He was always happy to answer questions and made the whole process very easy. Pick up day was great. Ken had tons of helpful information about the puppy and early care. Paperwork was organized and he provided everything we needed to start our new life with our puppy! Now this puppy is something else. He’s ridiculously smart! Crate trained right away, picks up new commands in just a day or two, and is so snuggly and loving. We’re absolutely in love! We highly recommend Ken. Great guy, great dogs, you really can’t go wrong!

My experience from start to puppy pick up was great. Ken provided information and videos to help make an impossible puppy choice given how adorable they all are. He continued to send pics and videos until pickup to show how well they were doing. He answered all our questions and followed up with us after pickup. He clearly cares about his dogs and the pups and takes no chances with their health. Would definitely come back to Ken.

Ken was great to work with and it is very evident that he cares a great deal about his babies. We are enjoying our baby girl, she is so smart!

Kenneth was very enjoyable to work with. But most importantly, he is compassionate and concerned for the well being of the puppies. Both before and after the homing process. Our boy, Jäger is adapting well and doing very well with his brother and sister. I would definitely recommend Kenneth as a breeder for any one looking for a German Shepard puppy.

Working with Ken made me feel like I was part of the pack. Phone calls would last for 4 hours. He sent many videos so I could stay in touch with my pup. When we got home and I began working with Kodi it was obvious Ken had been very hands on. I was amazed at Kodi's eye contact and at such a young age. He looks to me for what I want him to do. Training in 2 days blows me away. He's also very affectionate and lays on my feet so I can't get away. Kodi also has that puppy spunk that assures me he'll grow to be protective of me and his home. Right now he is adorable or as everyone says, exceedingly cute. I found a friend.
