AngelDay Shepherds

Cindy H.

Breeder of German Shepherds

Meet the breeder

I'm Cindy H., the breeder behind AngelDay Shepherds located in Emmett, ID. We breed with a focus on health and temperament, and we have years of experience in preparing puppies for their forever homes. We spend lots of time socializing our pups so they will have a great foundation of good behavior and neurological development.

Q. & A. with Cindy

  • Why did you start breeding?

I’ve wanted to breed high quality GSDs since I was 7 years old. Always with the intention of keeping them affordable, since my parents could never afford a purebred when I was a child.
  • What makes your program special?

I breed for health and temperament above all. Many dogs are structurally correct, but have poor health and temperament. I breed for all three.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, bi-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Temperament Test

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
