I'm Elizabeth M., the breeder behind AptiBull Terriers located in Hohenwald, TN. At Aptibull Terriers, we believe in ability and aptitude in the APBT. I want dogs that can go go go, but when standing still - carry that undeniable APBT silhouette. First and foremost is temperament. Confidence and joy are a must. Secondary is breed type. Thirdly, and mandatory, is health testing.

The pups took advantage of yesterday's warmer weather. Hoping we get one more sunny day before we hunker down for the upcoming cold front.

Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 2 (crd2), American Pitbull Terrier Type, Hyperuricosuria (HUU)

Elizabeth it's super communicative. Very easy to deal with, and obviously cares a ton about her animals. This was my first experience buying a dog online, and she made me feel very comfortable with the experience. Would definitely recommend.

Elizabeth allowing us the opportunity to own one of her dogs, we absolutely ended up with a great new addition to our family. She kept in touch with great communication during the process. Kept us updated as the puppies hit each new milestone and supplied great photos. Transaction was smooth all the way from placing deposit to pick up. She was very knowledgeable about the breed and we were confident we were getting a dog from an A+ breeder.

Elizabeth made the entire process seamless, great responsiveness, always clearly communicated, and just an absolute pleasure to work with. Zane is perfect.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
