I'm Elizabeth M., the breeder behind AptiBull Terriers located in Hohenwald, TN. At Aptibull Terriers, we believe in ability and aptitude in the APBT. I want dogs that can go go go, but when standing still - carry that undeniable APBT silhouette. First and foremost is temperament: confidence and joy are a must. Secondary is breed type. Thirdly, and mandatory, is health testing.

Why did you start breeding?
I have had a desire to breed/preserve the American Pit Bull Terrier for 15 years. I have mostly spent my time listening to those wiser than I, reading APBT books, and reviewing pedigrees and historical books. I love the American Pit Bull Terrier and would like to be a part of preserving this honorable breed. I aim to produce sporty, conformationally correct APBT.What makes your program special?
I recognize the importance of a stellar temperament. Confidence & enthusiasm are my priority. Health testing is a must as well as testing each of my dogs in various sports. Each APBT in my care will be analyzed when training, traveling, or even just relaxing in the home. I believe in knowing what you are breeding from puppyhood through to years 5 and 10.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Elizabeth
Elizabeth has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Elizabeth partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“Litters are bred intentionally for show/sport homes primarily. This means puppies will be evaluated for show ring potential first, then evaluated by temperament/drive for potential sport homes, before placing available puppies in active non-show homes. This does not mean puppies not selected to stay, or not sent to show/sport homes, are of lesser quality. The health, temperament, and structure of puppies not sent to show homes will still be of good quality and each puppy is raised lovingly, and intentionally, using puppy culture protocols which includes weaning and introduction to multiple foods, early training, anti-resource guarding training, noise desensitization, and socialization. We adore our little puppies and want them to be a blessing to their new families. ”
Price
“The price includes UKC & AKC registration, microchip, parent health history, puppy starter pack. Higher pricing if ear crop is desired. Co-Owns are available at discounted pricing, ask if interested. Deposits are only accepted for confirmed pregnancies at which time they are nonrefundable, but transferable. [Deposit refund is offered if a puppy is unavailable due to no fault of the buyer.].”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
