I'm Jordana O., the breeder behind ArctiCircle Alaskan Malamutes located in Kelley, IA. We are a small hobby breeder that has 1 to 2 litters a year. Our Malamutes are AKC registered, titled, and OFA health tested. Our Malamutes have conformation, obedience, and working titles. Our adults live in our home and our puppies are raised in our home. We are an AKC Breeder of Merit.

About Fusion
Fusion is our keeper puppy from our 2022 litter between our Mufasa and Acadia. She is a stunning girl and is proving to wonderful working dog. She finished her weight pull excellent title in just a handful of pulls and is consistently placing at the top of her weight class in competition. She's planned to have her first litter spring/summer 2026.

Mufasa is a male Alaskan Malamute over 5 years old. Carefully selected as a great representative of his breed, Jordana decided to make him part of their program. Jordana has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

About Tali
Tali is a grey and white Alaskan Malamute from our first frozen semen litter. Her sire Marty was born in 2004 and we are so excited to be bringing him forward in our pedigree. Tali is currently working on her first weight pull and backpacking title as well as her AKC championship.

About Acadia
Acadia is from our 2019 litter between Maya (INT CH ArctiCircles Chance Blamed Fate CGC CGCA CGCU TKA RN WWPD) and Koen (GCH Bad Axe Here Comes the Boom AOM). Acadia is an AKC champion with multiple other titles including working and obedience. She has proven to be a wonderful mother producing two champions with two more hitting the ring early 2024.

About Maya
Maya is from our Suka and Cole`'s 2016 litter and is just wanted we wanted from this pairing. She has a wonderful working drive and is one of our "velcro dogs", she never wants to leave your side and is eager to please. Maya has her international champion title. Maya earned her 1st weight pull title in just 5 pulls. Her top weight pulled is 2,182 lbs (28.7 times her body weight) and her top weight pulled at a snow pull is 1,680 lbs. Maya has almost finished her weight pull advanced title. Maya has earned her CGC, CGCA, and CGCU obedience titles, rally novice title (RN) as well as three trick dog titles (TKN, TKI, and TKA).

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Dentition
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, Kartagner Syndrome (PCD), Cone Degeneration, Polyneuropathy (NDRG1), Alaskan Malamute Type
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
