I'm Julie R., the breeder behind ArticCross Samoyeds located in Prague, OK. ArticCross Samoyeds are bred with a focus on temperament, health, structure and style. Our particular niche a well rounded Samoyed who is capable of being a great family companion & being great at shows, rally, agility, herding, & service dogs. They are the quintessential all purpose utility dog.

Why did you start breeding?
My family has been breeding Samoyeds since the 1940’s when my grandparents used them for herding on their farm in MN. We consider ourselves preservation breeders with a bonus of health tested dogs.What makes your program special?
The support system. While the show and working accolades are wonderful, it is our support system for owners that makes us extraordinary. We want to have a relationship with our owners. We want them to be able to ask questions & share photos & experiences with us. We’re great mentors for those looking to show or do sports. We’re fantastic for pet owners.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and biscuit, white, cream, and biscuit. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Julie
Julie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

“The price includes AKC registration, guarantee, contract, microchip, vaccinations, go home bag, lifetime support. Deposit accepted once pups are at least 2 weeks old. Price subject to change dependent on contract.”

Parent health testing

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Retinal Dysplasia/Oculoskeletal Dysplasia 1 (RD OSD), X-Linked Progressive Retinal Atrophy (XL-PRA)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
