I'm Lisande D., the breeder behind Arwen Whippets located in Anthem, AZ. We are a home based breeding program with a great amount of education and experience in breeding healthy Whippet puppies. We focus on health and temperament. Each puppy is lovingly hand-raised by us in our home to ensure health and harmony at the start of its life. Our beautiful pups are sure to make loving companions for your family for many years to come!

Why did you start breeding?
I understand the very important role that breeders undertake; today’s breeders are the guardians of future dogs. I started breeding quality Whippet puppies over 20 years ago. I have always been enthusiastic about my program and look forward to advancing the wonderful qualities of the Whippet with a focus on health, temperament, and structure!What makes your program special?
We are very selective about our breeding dogs. All of our dogs are fully healthy and genetically tested. The health and temperament of our puppies are our number one priority. We are very conscious about who purchases our puppies, always ensuring that they are given the best life possible. I also offer lifetime breeder support for all of my clients! Price
Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $2,250 - $2,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Contract & health guarantee
Lisande may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Whippet Health Foundation Database
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
