Meet the breeder

I'm Michelle K., the breeder behind Aus der Asche German Shepherds located in Conroe, TX. Our breeding goals focus on drives, health and temperament while maintaining breed standards. We strive to provide families with healthy pets that are able to perform as the breed was designed.

Q. & A. with Michelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

After having several German Shepherd Dogs with health or temperament issues, I researched the breed and how to decrease the likelihood of producing dogs with these issues. It started as a search for our own family pet. The more I learned, the more I saw a need for breeders who would adhere to breeding practices designed to produce healthy, stable dogs.
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs are from top European working lines. I train my dogs to learn their strengths and weaknesses, then use that information to make the best decisions possible for breeding. I spend a lot of time exposing my puppies to many experiences and evaluating them to prepare them for their future homes.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include long, plush, and stock coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
