Meet the breeder

I'm Susanne S., the breeder behind Austerlitz German Shepherds located in Sand Springs, OK. We are a legacy breeder of German Shepherd Dogs for over 25 years and an AKC Breeder of Merit.

Q. & A. with Susanne

  • Why did you start breeding?

I originally started my breeding program to cater to dog sport trainers, however, our program has grown from this to specialize in breeding exceptional companion dogs. The goal of our program is to breed adaptable modern companion dogs - not a specialist in sport or show.
  • What makes your program special?

Austerlitz German Shepherds is a program that has been evolving and refining since 1993. We are committed to breeding physically healthy and long-lived dogs with correct structure and predictable, adaptive temperaments. What truly sets us apart is our extensive puppy raising protocols and early training to facilitate a smooth life with new families.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include stock and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, black and tan, black and red, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
