I'm Janie S., the breeder behind Autumn Poodles/Doodles located in Beckley, WV. With 50+ years in AKC breeding and showing, I raise Poodle and Cavapoo puppies in my home with hands-on care. My small program focuses on health, structure, and temperament, with full testing and early socialization for well-rounded, loving companions.

Why did you start breeding?
Some of my fondest memories growing up included my family and pets. I raised my first litter of puppies at age 14. After marriage my husband and I, with our daughters, raised and showed GSD. Throughout the decades our puppies have enriched our lives and the lives of many families. We can’t imagine a time without our pet(s). Our multi-generational program spans 50+ years—because experience matters. From birth, puppies are raised in our home with daily hands-on care, early socialization, and enrichment. Each receives age-appropriate vaccines, a vet exam, and careful monitoring to ensure they grow into happy, healthy, well-adjusted companions.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Poodle puppies include toy, miniature, and moyen sizes. Cavapoo puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Poodle puppies include black, brown, parti, and phantom. Cavapoo puppies include merle, brown, chocolate, sable, red, blenheim, tri-color, black and tan, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Janie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Janie partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Pricing ranges from $2500 for companion puppies to $6000 for select breeding prospects. Feel free to reach out for more details. A $500 non-refundable deposit reserves your puppy. It is non-refundable as the puppy is removed from availability and other interested families are declined.”

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

+8Janie was incredible with communication and very helpful with helping Stormy get to me. We met halfway in North Carolina. It was clear that she and her husband (and her daughter who also is a breeder) really loved her and took good care of her. She’s is the sweetest, most beautiful dog I’ve ever seen. I got her when she was 10 weeks old and now she’s almost 6 months old! She’s my best bud and if I needed to adopt another Cavapoo I would go through Janie and her daughter again. I’ve had my “Cricket” for 2 weeks, and I couldn’t be happier or love her more! ❤️ She arrived with a great start on potty training, crate training and walking on a leash. Our Veterinarian was beyond impressed with Cricket’s health. I cannot say enough amazing things about Janie, Jamie, and Autumn Poodles/Doodles. We saw our little guy and wanted to take him home, but we were going out of the country for 10 days three weeks later. Janie offered to board him at a very reasonable price while we were away, got him his puppy shots, and sent us updates and pictures. She has been so responsive and communicative throughout the whole process. She and her family are also very clearly dog lovers and very knowledgeable, and all of their dogs get the utmost love and care. There is still one puppy left from our puppy's litter, and if she's anything like our little guy, she'd be an amazing pet! Thank you so much, Janie and family!
