We are a small standard-conforming breeder that shows our dogs in conformation, has our adults living with us as loved and pampered pets in the house, strives for health, good temperament, athleticism, and adherence to the standard in body structure and head type.

    Our breeding program is special because we raise and love the adults in our home, they were a carefully chosen pair that complements each other, and we are able to devote attention, love, care, and training to the puppies that are whelped in our home

Getting a puppy from Rachel

Rachel has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and $3,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Shipping is additional at buyer’s expense. Heath guarantee. Phone interview required. Contract must be signed. Application does not guarantee a puppy. Must also fill out a more extensive Avant-Gard Puppy Buyer Application. If desired puppy is not available, deposit transferred to Johnson Farms to be put on their waiting list. Otherwise, non-refundable.”

  • Brucellosis

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Polyneuropathy 1, Leonberger and Saint Bernard Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
