Raven A.

Breeder of German Shepherds

Meet the breeder

I'm Raven A., the breeder behind Aydt's Shepherds and Training LLC located in Linton, IN. Our dogs are tested for DM, hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, and are Embark tested. Our puppies are bred for health, trainability, workability, and sound minds. Our puppies are suitable for almost every lifestyle from active pet homes to sporting or working homes.

Q. & A. with Raven

  • Why did you start breeding?

My first German Shepherd, Ben, was a retired police dog that was imported from Germany. I loved how loyal, smart, protective, sound-minded, and gentle he was. I believe everyone should have a dog like Ben and that's my goal with all my puppies. Quality is more important to me than quantity. I get to know each and every one of my pups before they go to their forever homes.
  • What makes your program special?

I am a stay at home mom and our puppies are raised inside our home. I spend countless hours with each puppy. I am there from the very beginning. I can tell you which puppy was born first, second, third, etc. I begin ENS and ESI and heavily socialize puppies to a variety of sound, smells, textures, adults, children, other animals, car rides, and so much more. Puppies begin crate training at 6 weeks. Puppies are temperament tested at 7 weeks old. This test is to guide families to pick the right puppy for them. I offer a 2 year health guarantee and lifetime breeder support. At any age I will gladly accept any puppy that is returned to me for any reason. As a breeder, I take full responsibility for each and every puppy I produce. Lastly, I inform families on a regular basis via email or social media posts. As a breeder, I strive to be honest and real. My followers get to know that breeding isn't always sunshine and rainbows.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include stock and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, bi-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
