Our adorable litter is now 5 weeks old, and they’re growing fast, each developing their own unique personalities. Here’s a quick update on their progress and what we’re doing to set them up for success in their forever homes: • Swing Time for Balance and Motion Sickness: The puppies are enjoying gentle swing time sessions to help develop their balance and coordination. This fun activity also helps desensitize them to motion, which can reduce the likelihood of motion sickness as they grow. They’re loving the gentle sways and are getting steadier every day! • Sound Desensitization: We’re continuing our sound desensitization program, exposing the puppies to various household noises (like vacuum cleaners, doorbells, and kitchen sounds) in a controlled way. This helps them stay calm and confident in new environments, setting them up to be well-adjusted in your homes. • Introduction to Other Dogs: The puppies have started meeting our adult dogs, Missy and their dad, Toby. These supervised interactions are teaching them proper doggy manners and socialization skills. Missy and Toby are gentle and patient, making them perfect role models for the little ones. • Transition to Softened Kibble: We’ve begun transitioning the puppies to softened kibble, which they’re taking to like champs! This step helps them move toward solid food while keeping their tummies happy and healthy. Each puppy is showing off their own little personality—some are bold explorers, others are cuddly lap dogs in the making. They’re all thriving, and we can’t wait for you to meet your new best friend! Stay tuned for more updates, and feel free to reach out with any questions.

4 week puppy update: Here’s the latest on the development and our socialization efforts with the puppies to ensure they’re ready to join your homes as confident, well-adjusted pups. • City Sound Desensitization: We’ve started introducing the puppies to city sounds, such as car horns, sirens, and urban bustle, at low volumes. This gradual exposure is helping them become comfortable with the noises they might encounter in their future homes, especially for those of you in busy areas. They’re responding beautifully, staying calm and curious! • Thunderstorm Sound Desensitization: To prepare them for stormy weather, we’re playing gentle thunderstorm recordings during their quiet time. This helps them associate these sounds with safety and relaxation, reducing the chance of future anxiety during storms. So far, they’re taking it in stride, some even napping through the rumbles! • Eating Solid Soft Foods: The pups have officially started transitioning to solid soft foods! They’re enjoying a nutritious mix of puppy mush (high-quality Rawz beef & beef liver canned food further softened with goat milk). It’s a messy but adorable process as they learn to lap up their meals. This step is crucial for their growth and weaning journey. • Teeth Coming In: Those tiny puppy teeth are starting to emerge! You might notice them nibbling and exploring with their mouths more. This is a perfect time for us to gently introduce safe chew toys to encourage healthy chewing habits. • Puppy Yoga Sessions: We’re thrilled to announce two puppy yoga sessions scheduled for November 1st and November 2nd! These sessions will allow the pups to interact with calm, positive humans in a relaxed environment, promoting socialization and confidence. If any of you are local and want to join, let us know! • Continuing ENS and Early Scent Introduction: We’re still diligently working on Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) to support the puppies’ physical and mental development. Additionally, Early Scent Introduction continues, exposing them to a variety of safe scents (like herbs, fruits, and natural materials) to stimulate their olfactory senses and curiosity.
