I'm Scott B., the breeder behind Bachman’s Kennel located in Hudson, MI. Thanks for taking the time to view our profile and pups. We are a small family run kennel in Michigan who fell in love with the breed over 20 years ago. We’ve raised, trained and competed in AKC and UKC competitions for the past 15 years.
Q. & A. with Scott
Why did you start breeding?
Scott has grown up around beagles and coonhounds and got the love of the breed from his dad and grandparents on both sides of the family. It seemed only fitting to take his love of the breed to the next level and share our puppies for others to enjoy. Sue grew up on a dairy farm so has lots of experience with animals. Her part time job as a RN goes well together with helping others.
What makes your program special?
We’ve worked hard over the last 20 years to breed dogs that are happy, healthy with conformation to be able to move well. We are selective in breeding dogs that are able to compete on the weekends and lay in front of the fireplace during their time off. We breed dogs that are smart, trainable, have manners both in and out of the kennel and are able to compete anywhere in the country.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Beagle puppies include 13-inch and 15-inch sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Basset Hound puppies include black white and tan and black tan and white. Beagle puppies include brown and white, red and white, black and tan, and black tan and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Our experience with Scott and Bachman's Kennel was nothing short of exceptional. Scott was very responsive right from the beginning of our puppy selection process and helped us get to know the pup through photos and videos which was very well appreciated by my family, specially my kids!. We chose a female Beagle "RORY" and she is doing great settling in her new home. Rory is very smart, intelligent and a super fast learner! We are thrilled and truly thankful to have her part of our family!
