Q. & A. with Melissa
Why did you start breeding?
When I was little, I had a basset hound for my first pet. And when I was about 9, my parents let her have a litter of puppies, I knew then that when I was older and had my own family that I wanted my kids to grow up with them and breeding them allows me to make money to provide for my family and be a stay at home mom.
What makes your program special?
What makes my basset hound's special is that they think they are people. Lol They are so spoiled, loved and are raised alongside my kids and I. They are a huge part of our family, they go everywhere with us whether we are just going to the store or we are going on vacation. They each have their favorite person in the family and pick what bed and who they want to sleep with every night.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black brown and white, red and white, and brown and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
