I'm Katie S., the breeder behind Badlands Plotts located in Pennsylvania. We have been involved in Plotts for just over a decade. This will be my first breeding, and the first health tested litter ever. I am so excited to be diving into the world of breeding. I want to always be working towards the betterment of the dogs. I will breed to the standard and will love all of my dogs as if they are my family.
Q. & A. with Katie
Why did you start breeding?
No one is health testing our breed. I wanted an option for buyers who don’t want to compromise on tested, titled dogs, and I wanted to see how we were doing as a breed.
What makes your program special?
They’re tested and titled. They’re more than just hunting or show dogs, they’re obedient companions and I believe versatility is an important trait in the breed that many people overlook in trying to get the next big thing for hunting or for show. They are capable of so much.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
