I'm Nicky G., the breeder behind Baldwin Ranch Bloodlines located in Fort Meade, FL. At Baldwin Ranch Bloodlines, we raise AKC Basset Hounds from exceptional pedigrees on our 400-acre Florida ranch. We prioritize health, temperament, and early development through intentional socialization, daily handling, and gentle desensitization to prepare confident, well-adjusted puppies.

Why did you start breeding?
My love for Basset Hounds inspired me to establish Baldwin Ranch Bloodlines. I was drawn to their affectionate personalities, distinctive appearance, and wonderful temperaments. I wanted to build a thoughtful breeding program centered around exceptional AKC pedigrees, responsible breeding practices, and raising puppies that become cherished family companions.
What makes your program special?
Our AKC Basset Hounds come from exceptional pedigrees, with an emphasis on genetic health and temperament. Raised on our 400-acre family ranch, our puppies receive individualized attention, daily handling, early socialization, and gentle desensitization to everyday sights, sounds, and experiences. Our goal is to raise confident, well-adjusted companions prepared for family life.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Nicky

Nicky has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Nicky partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit that secures a specific puppy. The remaining $2,700 is due before pickup, plus applicable taxes and fees.

Sicily carries an impressive international pedigree featuring Brazilian and Italian ancestry, established European bloodlines, and connections to dogs recognized in competitive conformation showing. Her paternal lineage features the Big Long Blue’s bloodline, including Big Long Blue’s Benjamin, Big Long Blue’s Midnight Hour Kim, and Big Long Blue’s Blandina. These bloodlines have connections to dogs recognized in the show ring, reflecting a heritage of competitive Basset Hound breeding. On her maternal side, Sicily carries the distinguished Di Casa Dal Pino bloodline, tracing through Queen Di Casa Dal Pino, Bullo Di Casa Dal Pino, and Elvira Di Casa Dal Pino. Her Italian ancestry includes generations documented through the ENCI registry, with connections to European conformation competitors and award-winning show lines. Her pedigree represents generations of carefully documented Basset Hound heritage, with international bloodlines that we are honored to carry forward. But Sicily is so much more than her beautiful pedigree! She’s a true country girl, living her best life on our family ranch in Central Florida. With her soulful eyes, long velvety ears, affectionate nature, and unmistakable Basset charm, she embodies everything we adore about this wonderful breed. DNA Disease Panel, Thrombopathia, Basset Hound Type, Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Disease, X-Linked, Basset Hound Type (XSCID), Primary Open Angle Glaucoma, Basset Hound Type
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
