Q. & A. with Katie

  • Why did you start breeding?

Since the age of 6 years old I have wanted to have puppies 🐶 😍 I love caring for animals ❤️ I was the girl who snuck my bunny " thumper" on the school bus 😀 I have always had so much love for helping Animals and we started with fostering... As kids we grew up with dogs and though I love all dogs 🐕 my heart was never the same after I got my first Brussels !!!! I knew this was the breed i wanted to breed and spent 7 years establishing and researching the best breeders for my program. It was not easy finding the perfect brussels griffons for my program and to do it and do it right I made the decision to import my pups from Ukraine 🇺🇦 Russia 🇷🇺 and Germany 🇩🇪 The reason i chose to import was because they are the most pure and healthy. I love how my brussels adore my children and my children adore them 💙 ❤️ 💕 We travel with our griffs and often times when you come to my boutique you will be greeted by a griffon.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red, brown, belge, black and tan, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Katie was an excellent breeder to work with. It was important for me to find an ethical and well educated breeder. I love my final product- my sweet Gretel. I told Katie early on why I wanted a Brussels Griffon and what my preferences were. Katie matched me with the perfect puppy- a beautiful chocolate smooth coat girl. Katie was very informative, helpful, and communicative from the beginning of this process. I think I got updates everyday which was so exciting to see since the puppies were born. I appreciate the good care she takes of her dogs and the helpful tips she continues to provide. Thank you for my sweet girl and we will keep in touch! FYI: my puppy came home completely litter box trained! (She also goes outside at least twice a day). I just had to see the box out for her and she knew what to do! No accidents.

I don’t even know where to begin. Katie gave us an experience that only one could dream of when choosing our new family member. She truly cares for her fur babies as if they were human children. She sent pictures of little Judy June daily and shared updates. We feel so blessed to be not only part of your Brussels family but of your own. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Judy June is pure sass and perfection.

Katie… you are amazing! We are so lucky and blessed to have found you for our family dog. You are so passionate about breeding these puppies and care deeply about making it special for their new home. My family and I can’t thank you enough. Our new baby girl is absolutely perfect and has settled in immediately with us. Thank you so much for what you do, and how generous you were with her care pack to come home with. It has truly been a pleasure getting to know you and we will always stay in touch.

Katie is AMAZING - and Dakota is the proof. She kept me smiling every day with adorable updates, videos, and all the puppy info I could ever want. You can tell that her pups are raised with love and not just routine. Dakota came home happy, confident, and full of personality. Dakota settled in right away and is obvious she had the best start thanks to Katie’s care. If you want a puppy who’s been loved, socialized, and spoiled in all the right ways, Katie is absolutely the Griff’s breeder to go to! Katie also checked in and is available for questions after Dakota went to my home. I’m so glad I found Katie and she found me the perfect furry companion! Thanks Katie!

We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Katie at Baringer Brussels. We have 10 dogs and have worked with numerous breeders over the years, so we have had plenty of experiences to compare—and Katie was, by far, the best breeder we have ever worked with. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond to make us feel involved in the entire process. She sent us pictures and updates every single day, kept us incredibly well informed as our puppy grew, and was always available to answer questions. We never felt like we were just waiting for the day we could bring our puppy home—we genuinely felt like we got to be a part of watching him grow. Beyond being an exceptional breeder, Katie herself is just truly an amazing person. She is kind, genuine, knowledgeable, and you can immediately see how much she loves and cares for her dogs and puppies. That level of dedication shows in the puppy we brought home. Our little guy is everything we could have hoped for and more. He is confident, affectionate, funny, well-socialized, and has the most incredible personality. We are completely in love with him. After working with so many breeders over the years, our experience with Katie really set a new standard for what working with a responsible, caring breeder should be like. We would recommend Baringer Brussels without hesitation and would absolutely get another Brussels Griffon from Katie in the future. Thank you, Katie, for such an amazing experience and, most importantly, for trusting us with our perfect little guy. He was worth every second of the wait, and we couldn’t be happier. ❤️🐾

Choosing a chocolate puppy from Katie was the best decision I could’ve of made. From the beginning, she went above and beyond, sending daily photos and videos of the pregnancy, the birth and all the precious moments of my sweet pup growing and playing with mama, Masha and brother Wally. It felt like we were part of the journey before we even brought him home! When pick up day finally arrived, I was blown away by her generosity. She provided a “puppy love” package that included everything: food, toys, blankets that smelled like Mom, a beautiful picture book and the best puppy carrier I’ve ever seen. It’s clear these puppies are raised in a home full of genuine love. Our hearts are completely melted!!! ♥️
