I'm Barbara C., the breeder behind Barron's Samoyeds located in St Charles, MO. It is our goal to help ensure the future of the Samoyed through responsibly breeding our exceptional dogs. Our program is dedicated to only breeding dogs that we know are exemplary representations of the standard and will make a positive contribution to their line and to the families who love them. Why did you start breeding?
47 years ago I got a dog from a put breeder as a birthday present for my boyfriend. I showed that dog to the first OTCh Samoyed in AKD history, THen we shotly after got a COnformaiton dog that was in the Top 10 all breed, Top SCA Stud dog for 3 years, and a best in Show and BISS winner, as well as multiole group placer, I waited 11 years to breed, and only breed once every year or couple of years, always to keep a puppy for myself and place the rest in great homesWhat makes your program special?
The parents are OFA clear, Good rating or Excellent on hips, Eyes Cleared by ACVO, heart cleared, and the puppies are raised in my home, fully socialized, guaranteed for life, and receive the utmost care and attention

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Retinal Dysplasia/Oculoskeletal Dysplasia 1 (RD OSD)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
