I'm Erin T., the breeder behind Bartin Kennels located in Nine Mile Falls, WA. Here at Bartin Kennels health and temperament come first! All of our breeding’s are carefully planned to produce the best quality puppies possible. We breed with a mission, to improve the temperament, health and structure of the next generation.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our goal is to raise the bar of quality within the UKC APBT breed as whole and leave it better than when we started. In these short 13 years we have been very successful in improving the quality of our APBT’s, our dogs have solidified this fact by the awards they have brought home. Our dogs ended the 2024 show year by claiming 4 of the UKC top ten ranked spots!

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Erin

Erin has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Erin partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

“We want each puppy to remain in its new home for life. A key factor in accomplishing this is place the right puppy with you based on temperament. Puppy selection happens between 6-8 weeks of age ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“We practice Early Neurological Stimulation techniques (ENS) with each puppy. This aids in developing a well balanced temperament in all of our puppies. In our experience ENS lessens fear response, shortens recovery time, and creates a much more mellow and confident dog. Before heading to their new homes our puppies are treated with age appropriate wormings, and recieve their first vaccination. And finally when you take one of our puppies home our involvement is not over. We are always available to help. We want you to succeed and our Bartin Puppies to grow up happy and healthy. When it is determined that you indeed wish to purchase your next family member from BarTin Kennels and that one of our puppies would be a good addition to your home, we will send you our Puppy Purchase Agreement. Once we have both added our signature and initials, you will be asked to place your deposit ($500).”

Erin may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation , Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Dentition, Brucellosis, Temperament Test

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

    Working with Erin was so easy. She is attentive, patient and knowledgeable, both about the breed and her process. While Good Dog was amazing at presenting the BarTin Kennel I would advise going to their website to see more of the depth and breadth of information she provides potential and existing new dog parents. While there are multiple breeders on Good Dog, Erin stood out to me because of her commitment to the maintenance and ultimate improvement of the genetics/bloodlines, her reputation for outstanding stable results and of course the look of her dogs which are regal and impressive. After selecting the ideal puppy I signed the contract and gave the deposit the same day and in 3 days the puppy was home with me in Utah. Once here Erin checked in to make sure things were squared away and helped answer some new questions. I am excited for my new American Staffordshire Terrier puppy that I have named IVAR. After 12-18 months we will see if he has the temperament for Defense Drive Training. I could not reccomend Erin and BarTin Kennels more.

    I inquired about getting a new pup back in March, after losing my soul dog. Erin was very knowledgeable, responsive, and answered all my questions. I expressed wanting a dog that looked just like the one I had lost. Erin was so kind and showed me brindle pups that had been produced from previous litters. I put my deposit down and Erin was excellent at keeping in contact and letting me know when she had planned litters & also when a new litter was born. The puppy I have is absolutely amazing. She is either just perfect or she was well prepared for the moment I’d be taking her home. It’s obvious to me that Erin took exceptional care of her pups. Erin was waiting for me to land & met me at the airport and handed me a puppy packet with her food, akc papers, shot records etc. and most importantly my new little bundle of joy.
