I'm Erin T., the breeder behind Bartin Kennels located in Nine Mile Falls, WA. Here at Bartin Kennels health and temperament come first! All of our breeding’s are carefully planned to produce the best quality puppies possible. We breed with a mission, to improve the temperament, health and structure of the next generation.

What makes your program special?
Our goal is to raise the bar of quality within the UKC APBT breed as whole and leave it better than when we started. In these short 13 years we have been very successful in improving the quality of our APBT’s, our dogs have solidified this fact by the awards they have brought home. Our dogs ended the 2024 show year by claiming 4 of the UKC top ten ranked spots!Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Erin
Erin has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

“We practice Early Neurological Stimulation techniques (ENS) with each puppy. This aids in developing a well balanced temperament in all of our puppies. In our experience ENS lessens fear response, shortens recovery time, and creates a much more mellow and confident dog. Before heading to their new homes our puppies are treated with age appropriate wormings, and recieve their first vaccination. And finally when you take one of our puppies home our involvement is not over. We are always available to help. We want you to succeed and our Bartin Puppies to grow up happy and healthy. When it is determined that you indeed wish to purchase your next family member from BarTin Kennels and that one of our puppies would be a good addition to your home, we will send you our Puppy Purchase Agreement. Once we have both added our signature and initials, you will be asked to place your deposit ($500).”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation , Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Dentition, Brucellosis, Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

Searching for a good breeder is very hard. Trusting a breeder that isn’t local to your area is not always easy. Erin made this process of getting our puppy to us from out of state seamless. Erin was wonderful to work with during the puppy buying process. She always responded quickly to my questions and sent lots of pictures and videos of our new puppy. Warning - be prepared to be stopped by the masses who want to meet your new puppy! Puppy has been home with us for two weeks and has gotten a clean bill of health from our vet. Our trainer says she is clearly a smart girl. She's as sweet as can be and seems comfortable (or at least curious) in the variety of experiences she has had with us so far (restaurants, construction site, sirens, school yard, car rides, to name a few). We are very happy with our fun new rolly bundle of puppy!
