I'm Gianna S., the breeder behind Basset Bottom Bassets located in Procious, WV. Our dogs and puppies are raised in a home envirornment and are loved as family. We spend countless hours with each of our litters, socializing and caring for our puppies to prepare them for their forever homes. We truly love our puppies and know you will too!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I started breeding as a hobby with 1 male and female as I worked full time and was raising my children. I was forced to retire early and ended up with a few more dogs including my first basset hound. My dogs kept me sane and the bassets were my new obsession.. I was hooked for life with this breed especialy once I got my first European named Fred! He was 100lbs of goofy wonderfulness 🥰

  • What makes your program special?

    I pay close attention to the basset hound in and out in order to put out the best basset hounds possible.. I do health testing on all of my puppies and adults and only have healthy good natured hounds in my program. I stand by all of my puppies and always take them back. I give a health guarantee for 2 years with the use of NuVet Supplements which I provide to all of my hounds.

Getting a puppy from Gianna

“We take great care when it comes to placing our puppies. We take into consideration the puppies temperament and energy level also the energy level of the family, whether there are other pets in the home and how they might react to an in your face playful puppy, whether there are children, if there is anything specific that I can get them accustomed to with their training. We want you and your new puppy to get along from the very start. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $450 non-refundable deposit and $2,050 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The puppy price includes my care and training for 8 weeks. All vet visits needed, shots and checkups. Food and formula given. All puppy go home bags. sleepless nights, very long days, The price I pay for my dogs is taken into consideration. I am at the low range for European puppies and I try to keep it that way. All of our puppies are the same price regaurdless of sex or size. All deposits are used to help care for puppies until they reach time to go home.”

Contract & health guarantee

Gianna may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
