Q. & A. with Lisa
Why did you start breeding?
Back in college I took a lot of health science courses and became very interested in genetics and working on how I can improve the basset hound breed from what we are experiencing over the last decade. Bassets Had been bred poorly, living in crooked bodies, lack of laid back tenement etc. my passion is to get the new generations back to the way the beautiful breed was. I’m utilizing my resources with my vet friendships and continuing education with a lot of new science data resources. Keeping statistics on my previous Puppies has been the key to my success!
What makes your program special?
We have a variety of Looks and sizes that our bassets produce in their puppies. We stick to the basset hound standard, And focus on all the things we’ve loved about Bassets including long ears, Relaxed temperament and of course excellent conformation so they can live in the healthy body that they deserve. We live on over 6 acres and have a 1300 square-foot indoor outdoor kennel system where Our dogs can always choose whether they want to play inside or outside. We have the resources to give each Basset all the love and veterinary care they deserve. We are proud that veterinarians have adopted our dogs. We’ve been approved And gifted Beautiful Bassets from Akc judges in other countries to bring the quality of the breed the the USA. Many of our children’s friends and school teachers have adopted our dogs in our neighborhood which makes us the most entertaining place to be! We do travel and ship/fly our puppies, To approved homes all over the world.
