I'm Kristi S., the breeder behind Bayou State Malinois located in Marthaville, LA. We aim to responsibly breed and train healthy Belgian Malinois so they have the tools to be well-rounded & socialized family members/working dogs. We commit ourselves to preparing each puppy to thrive in their new homes, & we enjoy working with their new families so that they can raise their beloved companions with confidence!

Why did you start breeding?
We decided to get into breeding ourselves after purchasing our first Belgian Malinois. Our dog, Petra, left us in awe with her intelligence and agility. She is a wonderful, gentle and loving dog with a high drive and high energy to match. She is also fiercely protective of her family. Petra is a beautiful, black sable color and we will be breeding her with another black sable very soon.What makes your program special?
We aim to breed healthy, sturdy pups from only the best bloodlines. We will only sell those exceptional pups to approved agencies and families. Families must have adequate space for them to exercise and play. They must also have the time to dedicate to these pups, as they take the same amount of time as a toddler. We will also take the pup back if for any reason the owner cannot care for it.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Kristi
Kristi has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“$2500 includes AKC registration, a copy of their pedigree, first round vaccinations, deworming, socialization and a gift from Bayou State Malinois. $4500 includes all of the above, except with up to date vaccinations, microchipped and obedience training (older puppy). Deposit is to hold your pup until the time it is 7-8 weeks old. If puppy isn’t picked up within 2 weeks after we notify you it is ready, then you lose the deposit and the pup will be sold to the next.”
Contract & health guarantee
Kristi may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
