I'm Ginger&Larry A., the breeder behind Bear Foot Bassets Of West Virginia located in Hillsboro, WV. We strive to raise healthy Bassets that meet AKC standards and make loving, lifelong companions. All our Bassets have the same luxuries as we do. They have a large fenced in the back yard that can be accessed via multiple doggy doors inside our home. They are part of our Family.
Q. & A. with Ginger&Larry
Why did you start breeding?
I did a lot of research on this specific breed and with the help of a friend and mentor who both shows and breeds. With the guidance of my veterinarian, I decided to have my first litter in 2010. I am very willing to learn new things associated with breeding.
What makes your program special?
We handpick and import our Bassets from around the world. We work hard to provide genetic health tested Bassets and puppies with lovely temperaments. We constantly evaluate our dogs and our breeding program to provide the best companion for your family.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include mahogany and white, red and white, and black brown and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
