Meet the breeder

I'm Beata C., the breeder behind Beauty and the Beast located in Buena, NJ. For the past 10 years, I have been dedicated to breeding Long coat West German show line German Shepherd dogs and helping connect wonderful puppies with loving families. Nothing brings me greater joy than knowing that the dogs I have raised have become cherished members of their new homes.

Q. & A. with Beata

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have loved German Shepherds for many years and started breeding because of my passion for the breed. I wanted to help preserve their intelligence, health, beauty, and strong character. What began as a hobby quickly became a serious commitment to raising healthy, well-socialized puppies for loving families.
  • What makes your program special?

My breeding program focuses on health, temperament, and quality. All of my breeding dogs are health tested, including hip and elbow evaluations. Puppies are raised in my home with daily socialization, love, and attention from birth. I am dedicated to producing confident, healthy puppies and helping each one find the perfect family.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Temperament Test, Vet Wellness Exam

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
