I'm Matt H., the breeder behind Bedrock Basset Hounds located in Versailles, IN. We breed for health and temperament. Our adults have been health tested and championed. The parents have exceptional lines going back many years to old lines.

Why did you start breeding?
I started when I was 18, I always wanted a mastiff. I connected with some people that had mastiff’s and shown their previous dogs. Everything started from that point.What makes your program special?
I have done extensive research over the years to find the best quality mastiff I could. I have taken the time to do the research on pedigrees and over all conformation of the breed. I have spent a lot of money doing breedings until I have gotten what I really wanted in a mastiff. To this day I try to better the quality of the mastiff by aligning my pedigrees with new and old pedigrees. My current dogs are out of 30 year old frozen semen.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in a kennel on my property.

“We stand behind our puppies for two years with a health guarantee. This guarantees they are free of any genetic health issues. They will come with two sets of vaccines, vet records and a complete exam from the vet. Puppies are held with a $500 non-refundable deposit. We decide who will be show puppies and who will be pet puppies. We help you choose the right puppy for your home, environment and activities you plan to do with them.”
