I'm Polly O., the breeder behind Belfyre Kennel located in Abilene, TX. I only breed a litter every couple of years. My first concern in breeding a litter is the health of both dam and sire and the health history of the pedigree. Conformation and temperament are the other important issues for me. The puppies I do not keep are placed in loving homes.

Why did you start breeding?
We wanted to have puppies with our first champion Scottish Terrier. We have been breeding for many years and love the experience. Our breeding program strives to maintain the unique characteristics of the Norwich Terrier while placing an emphasis on producing puppies of superior health and conformation.What makes your program special?
I do this for a hobby, not for selling puppies for income. Therefore I study pedigrees so that I am breeding two dogs that will result in quality animals. This can require traveling to the right stud or using chilled semen. The results of my efforts have been healthy dogs, as well as top winners in the show ring. I am proud of my dogs and their accomplishments, and I work hard to only produce the best puppies.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
