I'm Pattie F., the breeder behind Bella Fiore Lagottos located in Sequim, WA. We raise healthy, well-socialized puppies for companionship, service work, medical detection and children in the autism spectrum.
Q. & A. with Pattie
Why did you start breeding?
Having had dogs all of my life, it was getting harder to find healthy, well socialized and temperamentally stable dogs. I wanted to create a program to raise the healthiest puppies possible by completing regular health screening, genetic testing and by creating a highly enriched and social environment for my dogs so other families would be able to have wonderful, healthy companions.
What makes your program special?
All of our puppies are raised in the middle of our home so they can be exposed to all the sites and sounds of a normal household. We have puppy parties every weekend between 3-11 weeks of age so the puppies can meet as many diverse people as possible. We use the Avidog International protocol along with Susan Clothier's Enriched Puppy Protocol and Puppy Culture protocol to raise all of our dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
