Meet the breeder

I'm Judith J., the breeder behind Ben and Jerry Doodles located in Charlotte, NC. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament with a focus on conformation, athleticism, and intelligence. We are dedicated to providing our families with wonderful, healthy family pets.

Q. & A. with Judith

  • Why did you start breeding?

We were looking for another puppy and one day when I was jogging I literally bumped into a guy with this BEAUTIFUL and INTELLIGENT dog! After pleasantries we went our separate ways but afterwards I wasn't even able to finish my jog after being so star-struck and intrigued on my first encounter with a Goldendoodle. Long story short so this all fits, I wasn't impressed with breeders in my area.
  • What makes your program special?

When looking for a pup in our area all the breeders we found seemed to either value litter profits over the well-being of their dogs, weren't very informed or educated in genetic testing, or they simply over charged for puppies because they were educated. But we invest the same amount of science, as love, into our breeding program to produce the ideal Goldendoodle without exorbitant prices.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, apricot, chocolate, black, phantom, merle, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Judith was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was incredibly responsive and patient, which was especially helpful for us as first-time fur parents with many questions. From our initial message to meeting her and bringing home our new puppy, the entire process was seamless. My husband and I couldn't be happier with our new furry family member, thanks to Judith's care and expertise. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful breeder or pet professional!

Judith was wonderful! She worked with our timing to send the deposit for Kash and had him smelling so good when we picked him up. He’s so smart and beautiful. We love him so much and so does Dolly our mini schnauzer. Kash has made our home complete.

This was our first time working with this app Good dog I was a little hesitant but after reading reviews I decided to see what was out there. After contacting a few breeders we decided to go with Ben and Jerry’s doodles. Judith was absolutely amazing to work with. Very kind and attentive. Super professional and personable. We fell in-love the pups were so cute annd seemed so well taken care of. My mother in law decided on getting one as well. We spoke to Judith regularly, she always answered any questions we had and got pictures and videos from the beginning til the day we got the puppies. We flew in and picked up the pups, Judith helped us even get to the airport on a busy holiday weekend. We are so grateful that we went with her and good dog. I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a new fur baby. The process went seamlessly. Thank you Judith

Judith was very responsive and understanding with everything we talked about. She knew I was far and even decided to meet me half way, with her own gas money. She gave us weekly updates on our beautiful golden doodle, named Ezra. He was prepared for everything, he was very gentle, and had no problem when it came training. If I ever thought to get my little buddy a new friend, I know just who I can come to. She even gives us advice on how he acts and how we can create a better environment for him if needed. She’s a great Dog Mom and I hope anyone who is looking for great dogs that is WORTH your money, should go contact Judith…immediately! 🫶🏼

From the very beginning my experience was great. I was looking for a female golden doodle. I live in NJ so we did a facetime call to look at puppies. I explained I have a 13yr old golden doodle, so I needed a calmer puppy. They showed me the boy was calm. He is the cutest, and calmest. I would definately purchase from them again. They really did a great job. Harley was 4 1/2 months, when I picked him up. He was housebroken, good on leash and loves the water.
